Coming This July: Alison Krauss’ Breakthrough Compilation Now That I’ve Found You Returns to Vinyl for the First Time

When Now That I’ve Found You: A Collection was released in 1995, it marked a turning point—not just for Alison Krauss’ career, but for how bluegrass and Americana could reach new audiences. Carefully curated from her early solo work and collaborations, the collection introduced millions to her unmistakable voice and virtuosic fiddling.

Now, for the first time, Now That I’ve Found You is coming to vinyl. Out July 11th and available to pre-order, this 30th anniversary edition features all-analog mastering on 180-gram vinyl. Fans can also choose from two limited-edition color variants: Translucent Teal (exclusively at Books-A-Million) and Vintage Red (here at Craft Recordings). The album is also available across digital platforms.

A CAREER-DEFINING RELEASE

At just 23, Krauss was already an established talent in bluegrass circles—but Now That I’ve Found You brought her artistry to a much wider audience. The compilation featured songs from her solo albums, collaborations with Union Station and The Cox Family, and covers that showcased her ability to make any song feel personal and deeply felt.

Tracks like “When You Say Nothing at All” and “Baby, Now That I’ve Found You” became fan favorites, with the former breaking into the Top 10 of Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart. The album itself was certified 2× Platinum and remains one of Krauss’ best-loved recordings.

FROM PRODIGY TO TRAILBLAZER

Raised in Champaign, IL, Krauss began playing violin at a young age and signed to Rounder Records as a teenager. Her early albums—Too Late to Cry, I’ve Got That Old Feeling, and Every Time You Say Goodbye—earned critical praise and GRAMMY® Awards, while laying the groundwork for the more expansive sound heard on Now That I’ve Found You.

By the mid-90s, Krauss had joined the Grand Ole Opry, collaborated with artists like Jerry Douglas and The Cox Family, and become a respected presence in both the bluegrass and country communities.

A LASTING LEGACY

Now That I’ve Found You helped open the door for roots artists who followed, showing that traditional music could thrive on a national stage without sacrificing its character. It also signaled the start of a broader chapter for Krauss, who has since become one of the most awarded artists in GRAMMY history and a central figure in modern Americana.

Today, her influence continues. In March 2025, Alison Krauss & Union Station released Arcadia, their first studio album in over a decade. The band kicks off a 75-date North American tour this week.

Whether you’re revisiting a favorite or discovering it for the first time, Now That I’ve Found You remains a milestone worth celebrating—and a testament to the quiet power of a truly original voice.
