By the time Weathered arrived on November 20, 2001, Creed had become one of the biggest rock bands in the world. Following the breakthrough success of My Own Prison and the multi-Platinum phenomenon Human Clay, the Florida band entered the new millennium with remarkable momentum.
Recorded with longtime producer John Kurzweg and co-producer Kirk Kelsey, Weathered captured Creed at a pivotal moment. Working as a trio, Scott Stapp, Mark Tremonti, and Scott Phillips expanded both the heavier and more melodic sides of the band's sound, creating an album that would resonate far beyond rock radio.
Weathered debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and remained there for eight consecutive weeks, eventually earning 6x Platinum certification in the U.S. Along the way, "My Sacrifice" and "One Last Breath" crossed into the mainstream, becoming two of the most recognizable singles of the era.
